After servicing the King West area for 15 years, our lease it up and with increased rent prices, we have decided not to re-new our lease.

We were trailblazers when we first opened up on King Street (hello, second floor walk-up that you had to buzz to get in!). At that time King West was emerging from a “garmento” sweat shop area to the coolest street in town. Then of course within a few years the street exploded, alongside rent prices! We moved around the corner to a street level spot and were happy to still be part of the King West community.

But times have changed; most of my original King West guys have moved, gotten married and I now see them on the east side at our Distillery store. The King West street car project and traffic in the city in general made it more difficult to get to the store, with my guys complaining that they don’t want to drive across the city at rush hour. So we’ve decided to make some changes as well:

We are partnering with Mannr (I like to call it the Uberization of shopping). You work with one of our stylists, she picks outfits for you that you view on-line. If you see anything that you like we ship it to your house, or if you work in the core, we can deliver it to your office (and even pin you up for alterations on the spot).

Gotstyle has always been known to throw some of best parties in the city. So this year we're going back to our roots and throwing more parties, lots of parties!

Speaking of parties we will be having our last party at our Bathurst store on Feb 22nd - it will be a combination of a Aquarian birthday party for the team (Daria, Pam, Charlotte, Max, Brandon Diaz and Amelia) a good bye party for Max who’s is moving to LA and a “let’s trash the store” throw down!

Drop by the store to shop prior to the 22nd and drop by to party on the 22nd - come for cake at 7 and come for drinks anytime until midnight.
